The “Quiet Luxury” of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Jack MariusBy Jack MariusJanuary 2, 2026No Comments3 Mins Read

Fontainebleau Las Vegas casino area

I stopped by the new Fontainebleau Las Vegas on a recent trip to Sin City to get a feel for the place. It’s located at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, right next to the Convention Center, which puts it a ways away from the heart of The Strip.

The towering 67-story ultra-luxury resort and casino opened on December 13, 2023, and is the sister property to the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

It’s a beautiful hotel and pretty much what I expected, with a sophisticated and glamourous feel. The layout is a bit different and more modern than what we see with other hotel/casinos, with a luxurious lobby and checkin area that sets the stage before a longer than expected walk to the casino.

I had heard the place desribed as “quiet luxury” and that’s exactly the vibe I felt, though it should be noted I wasn’t there on a packed weekend night. But the vibe was definitely elegant and chill. It immediately struck me as a luxury spot where you would take your wife or girlfriend. A place like the Bellagio, where you really weren’t looking for a ton of action, other than perhaps in the privacy of your own room with an impressed companion who appreciates the luxury touches.

With other luxury spots like the Wynn and Encore, there’s more of that wild Vegas vibe, even if it’s a bit below the surface and not right in your face. And it doesn’t have the trendy party vibe you get (or used to get) at the Cosmopolitan. That said, the Fontainebleau certainly has some of the amenities that can lead to wilder fun. You can find igh-energy parties at the LIV Nightclub and the LIV Beach dayclub, so that type of fun will be very accessible if desired. This reviewer pointed out that “Liv Beach is as good, if not better, than Encore Beach Club,” while also noting that the place was also quieter.

The styling is definitely impressive as you can see from the photos we included here. The ceiling designs are amazing, and the spectacular central bar dominates the casino.

We took a walk up to the second floor fr the food court and enjoyed a delicious, and expensive, burger. But the real draw involves all of the luxurious amenities we’ve come to expect from the high-end Vegas proporties. Of course it has great restaurants with 30 venues, including standouts like Mother Wolf, Don’s Prime, KYU and Chyna Club. The sportsbook was also impressive as you can see below.

Overall, the place made a positive first impression. I may not stay here with my buddies, but it’s probably one of the more romantic destinations on The Strip.

I’m looking forward to checking it out more.
