Fifty spectacular Aston Martin DBS Superleggera special editions are now available for car collectors and James Bond fans with a lot of discretionary income.
The 1969 Aston Martin DBS pictured above was featured in the 1969 James Bond film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” the only Bond film that featured George Lazenby in the iconic role.
The olive green DBS was the successor to the DB5 that appeared opposite Sean Connery in earlier Bond films. As we all know, the cars in Bond films get top billing after the lead actor, and the elegant DBS was a worthy addition to the franchise.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film, Aston Martin is producing fifty gorgeous DBS Superleggera special editions. As you can see from the photo above, these special editions will also feature the olive green color of the original. The folks at Aston Martin describe his new DBS Superleggera as an extremely distinguished “brute in a suit” that has been designed to “capture the essence of the iconic DBS from the 1969 film but with a 5.2 litre twin-turbo V12, 715 horsepower engine.”
The 50 owners of this James Bond Special Edition will also have the option to select a bespoke designed drinks case which fits into the boot space, with space for two bottles of champagne and four champagne flutes. Find a lovely companion and you can also fulfill your James Bond fantasy!
