BMW is introducing the all-new BMW i7 M70 xDrive, the most powerful all-electric model in the BMW Group portfolio. This impressive vehicle is designed to spearhead the new BMW 7 Series range, offering a blend of electric mobility and performance.
The i7 M70 xDrive is equipped with an electric motor at both the front and rear axles, generating an impressive maximum system output of 485 kW/660 horsepower. With its powerful all-electric drive system, the range-topping model of the new BMW 7 Series line-up accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a blistering 3.7 seconds, making it the fastest all-electric BMW model to date. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
Consumers looking for luxury EV sedans will probably love this all-electric performance model that combines the luxury and performance expected from the BMW brand with the benefits of electric mobility. BMW certainly hopes this flagship model will help to redefine the luxury segment and cement BMW’s position as a leader in electric vehicle innovation.
As you can see from the photos, BMW like other car brands is getting a bit more aggressive with its EV designs. Overall, I like the styling here, but I’m not sure about the front end. The thin headlights with the pronounced, L-shaped grooves immediately below make this model look less like a BMW. Meanwhile, the rear end design seems a bit subdued. It will be interesting to see how buyers react.
